Count em: 31 days of fine food

In October, some of Cayman’s most popular restaurants will be offering deeply discounted menus for diners to enjoy, and the month winds up with Cocktail Week. 


Foodies and lovers of fine cocktails are in for a real treat during October, with both Restaurant Month and Cayman Cocktail Week slated.  

Organized by the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, the promotion will feature participating restaurants offering three-course, fixed price menus, including lunch menus priced at $15 and $20, and dinner menus priced at $29 or $39, with optional wine pairings available.  

Participating restaurants include Lobster Pot Restaurant & Wine Bar, Cimboco, Guy Harvey’s, The Brasserie, Karma Restaurant & Lounge, Taikun at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Abacus, Ortanique, Thai Orchid, Deckers, Cassanova and Grand Old House.  

CITA’s Executive Director, Jane van der Bol, said that Restaurant Month represents the ideal opportunity to promote Cayman as a culinary destination, while also offering Cayman’s residents the perfect excuse to go out and dine.  

“The Cayman Islands is home to so many quality culinary establishments that strive for excellence. After two years of organizing and promoting Restaurant Week, the CITA decided with the support of their restaurant members, to grow this event into a monthlong promotion. 

“The event marks its third consecutive year in 2013. These qualities are what make the Cayman Islands the culinary capital of the Caribbean.” 

Cocktail Week  

For those who enjoy a tipple or two, mark your diary for Cayman Cocktail Week, Oct. 24 to 31. 

The week will feature a host of delicious events, parties, happy hours, tastings and seminars aimed at novices and experienced professionals alike.  

Participating restaurants will also be featuring signature cocktails and special offers throughout the week. Details are still being worked out by the organizers.
