Re/Max recently launched an open house for their luxurious Sea Breeze development, situated next to Cemetery Reef on the West Bay Road. The Journal sampled the luxury.
Sea Breeze, built by developer Alsation Land Company and sold on island by Re/Max, catches the eye not only because it is one of a rare few new developments on Seven Mile Beach but also because it is a small boutique development which offers ultra luxury living in a niche collection of beautiful condominiums, with just a handful of neighbours for company.
“All the units are beachfront, which in itself is something of a rarity,” Re/Max Broker/owner Kim Lund says, ushering us into the light, airy and spacious show home, “and there are only two residences per floor – all of which are corner units.”
Each corner unit has four en-suite bedrooms with just under 3,000 feet of luxury squeezed into every inch – from the useful den which can house a study, formal dining area or media nook, to the spacious patio with glass balcony which affords owners spectacular views of the ocean. The kitchen is decked out with custom-hardwood cabinetry, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. One really neat aspect here is the temperature controlled built in wine cellar with a capacity of up to 301 bottles, complete with mahogany wood racks. At the time of writing, two out of the nine units had already been sold and the remaining three start at US$2,995,000 stretching to US$4,995,000 for the penthouse unit.
“We’ve had a lot of showing but people seem to be hesitant to make the final move,” Lund says. “Would-be investors tend to be mostly from the US and they need a move towards security from a political level before they will commit.”
Lund says that all units are available for immediate purchase and that he and partner James Bovell at Re/Max are always happy to show prospective buyers this slice of luxury on Seven Mile Beach.
