Great food… with a literary twist

The Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rotisseurs is a culinary society that has a far-reaching appeal across the world, joining like-minded individuals who simply love good food and wine together in friendship and conviviality. The Cayman Chapter is a thriving group whose regular get-togethers in restaurants throughout Grand Cayman are eagerly awaited by members and their guests, essential dates in the food-lover’s diary.

For those who like to travel a little further afield in search of culinary delights might like to consider an exciting event planned by the 51st Grand Chapître in Hampshire, England over the weekend of the 8 – 10 October.

Chaîne members from all over the world are being encouraged to attend this fun-filled weekend, which is scheduled to take place at the Four Seasons Hotel set in 500 acres of park land on the Dogmersfield Park Estate in Hampshire.

As one would expect, the weekend includes fine dining, such as the Friday dinner at the Pennyhill Park Hotel with a dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chef Michael Wignail and the Saturday evening meal to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel with dinner prepared by Executive Chef Cyrille Pannier.

Tours for visitors include the Jane Austen Tour, led by Elizabeth Proudman, vice chair of The Jane Austen Society, or the Winchester City Tour (the ancient capital of England).

Wannabee pilots can enjoy a private visit to Flight Safety International at Farnborough Airport on the Sunday, where visitors can take their turn on the flight simulator. For those looking for some introspection, lifestyle expert Rachel McGuiness is on hand at the Four Seasons Hotel to give a presentation on how feeling good on the inside can help you look good on the outside.

Anyone interested in the weekend should contact Michelle Radford at email: registration@chaine.co.uk or call her on 44 7919 158339. Registration and payment deadline is 1 September, 2010.
