Conference round up

Conference season will soon be upon us, another round of insightful and well-attended sessions on issues that cover the specifics of the financial services industry as well as wider discussion on broader topics, all of which will be timely, inspiring and hopefully entertaining at the same time. Business Editor looks ahead at this year’s line up.

Kicking off conference season next month will be Campbell’s Fund Focus, now in its seventh year, to be held on 9 October at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Hot on the heels of the Campbell’s conference will be the Global Compliance Solutions fifth annual Anti-Money Laundering/Compliance and Financial Crime Conference, set to take place on 15-16 October at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort.

Rounding out the year will be the annual Cayman Captive Forum, to be held from 1 to 3 December at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, an absolute must for captive professionals globally, with the latest updates on market conditions as well as world-renowned key note speakers who always have a great story to share with the usually capacity audience. This year’s keynote speaker is journalist Stuart Varney, a popular business speaker, correspondent, and anchor, best known for his work on FOX Business Network.

Formerly with both CNBC and CNN, Varney has hosted such shows as Wall Street Journal Editorial Board with Stuart Varney and The Moneyline Newshour. His erudite, charismatic, and articulate style of analysing financial and economic news has charmed audiences for years.
